June 26, 2026 Rob Nahigian, SIOR,CRE,FRICS,MCR of Auburndale Realty Co., Newton, MA was invited and spoke at Boston College Corcoran Center for Real Estate and Urban Action by its Director Taylor Perkins for its summer series. The Summer Series is by application only of which over 100 BC undergraduate students apply and only 26 are accepted. The series runs for 5 weeks of which each week presents a different speaker on various topics of real estate. Rob was the second week presenter on June 25, 2026 on the Commercial Leasing Process that ran from 10 am to 4 pm. The students were placed in groups for the entire class and topics included: income stream, revenue structure, space measurements, opex v. capex, reimbursements, band of investment approach, office and industrial construction and marketing design, creating a letter of intent, McCarthy v. Tobin impact on LOI and how to draft an LOI and RFP. During the last hour, the class was involved in a highly competitive, Do you want to be a millionaire with Commercial Leasing? There were five groups competing for the answers. Lunch was also served during the class which allowed students time to collaborate.
