April 11, 2022: Boston University Real Estate Asset Class Transactions and Due Diligence

Class held on Zoom starting April 11, 2022 on Monday nights from 6pm to 8:30pm until June 6, 2022. This class is designed to expose substantive insights to various asset class sectors for real estate professionals. The course will focus on the process and particulars associated with asset transactions including the mistakes in various transactions made by asset managers and sole entrepreneurs. The topics will include investor purchases versus end-user analysis, types of transactions including 1031, commercial lease clauses, letter of intent, purchase and sale agreement issues, critical tenant, landlord and lender transaction clauses necessary for underwriting, various financing levels including mezzanine debt, equity debt, convertible and participating debt, due diligence factors in the purchase of commercial properties that are used in underwriting and finally multi-family acquisitions in this aggressive market. Various subject matter guest experts are planning from lending institutions, corporate end-users and CEOs of multi-family trusts. Case study assignments, quizzes and final exam is incorporated
